Safavieh's Oushak rug recreates the geometric designs and soft muted colors of coveted antiques in this updated color combination of pale blue and beige. Safavieh uses the knotting techniques of nomadic weavers of the tiny village of Oushak in Turkey who produced wool so beautiful and natural dyes so exquisite, theirs coarsely knotted rugs became prized for trade throughout the world. Hand-knotted of the finest hand-spun wool, this rug is processed with a special wash to reproduce the sheen ofvintage Oushak carpets.
